A recent client was an 8 year old boy with autism and emotional

ABOUT PSYCHIC HEALER LD PORTER'S REMOTE HEALING

I wanted to write a piece on L.D. Porter because I had long admired his
modesty, and because I found his background and talent in remote
healing fascinating. In anticipation of this interview, I asked L.D.
to prepare a short biography in regard to his remote healing practice.
He came back several days later without a word written. "I sat down at
the table and I couldn't think of anything I had done," he said.

A classical musician by trade, for several years in the early 2000's,
LD performed remote healing alongside one of the most talked-about
psychic healers in the country, Solomon Wickey. Mr. Wickey is an Amish
herbalist who has achieved a devoted following in Indiana and Ohio.
"Solomon used to call me his x-ray machine, because I could see into
areas of the body and function as a medical intuitive, so to speak."
L.D. said.
In 2011, L.D.released his book of channeled spiritual wisdom,
"Awakening the Genesis Within." The book is a part of his psychic
development course called The Genesis Keys, and instructs the readers
how to engage their own psychic healing abilities.

In his remote healing work, L.D. works by a process that he says
involves mental thought. L.D. referred to his remote healing technique
of "body scanning," which involves looking at the client "like a TV
screen" through which he can assess the client's physical, emotional,
spiritual, and energetic functioning. This is similar to the methods
used by renowned healers Dean Kraft and John of God.
In the fall of 2006, I accompanied L.D. to a healing fair he was
working in Durango, Colorado, where he attracted a crowd by giving away
free intuitive readings and remote healing. I observed him tell a
skeptical chiropractor that his client "the older woman with white
hair, your client, the one with glasses, she has a problem in her right
knee. She needs glucosamine." The chiropractor sat in stunned
silence. After the initial shock wore off, the chiropractor confirmed
the accuracy of L.D.'s psychic diagnosis. The situation played itself
out the rest of the afternoon. Eventually, I gave up my notions of
counting his "success" rate.
LD credits Texas healers Mary Jo Heller, whom he met in 1980, and
Natalie Sturdy, with helping him develop and hone his remote healing
gifts. "These women were spiritual seers," he said. "Solomon came
along later and polished things."

Today, after nearly 30 years of remote healing practice and
exploration, L.D. juggles his time between doing psychic healing
sessions, composing music, and caretaking land in Pecos, New Mexico.
His remote healing work is in steady demand, with a devoted and growing
clientele. He recently made his first national radio appearance, no
short accomplishment for a man unaccustomed to the spotlight. In
humble fashion, L.D. shrugged it off. "I don't really feel I do
anything," he said, smiling. "But I guess the work has an effect,
